"Do not be afraid to be your true self at work. I was not out at my first job and as soon as I joined WSP, I decided that I was not going to hide that I had a boyfriend. As soon as I did it, I felt much better and already felt more included in the team."

  2. I work as a Traffic Engineer.

  3. What is your educational background?
  4. I did my Bachelors in Civil Engineer at McGill University.

  5. What do you love about your career?
  6. I love to use my knowledge to solve current issues in transportation.

  7. Do you incorporate your queer identity in your career? How?
  8. Just by being out at work, I think I can be fully myself and focus more on my work.

  9. Have you ever had a negative experience in a professional environment that was related to your queer identity? How did you deal with it?
  10. Not that I am aware of.

  11. What role has mentorship played in your career? Do you have a queer mentor?
  12. I don’t have a queer mentor, but that would be a good idea to have, mostly when starting your career out of school.
